Vaccination clinics will be held at the Redlands Boys & Girls Club Clubhouse.

COVID vaccination clinics offered at Boys & GirlS Club

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside, Anthem Blue Cross and Ralphs Pharmacy have joined forces to offer four COVID-19 vaccination clinics for all Redlands and Riverside area residents at no cost. Trained clinicians will be available to answer questions and administer doses of Pfizer’s COVID vaccine to adults and children who are age 12 and over. These vaccination clinics will take place at the Boys & Girls Club in Redlands and provide access to both doses of the vaccine:

  • July 22: Offering first dose of the Pfizer vaccine between 4 – 7 p.m.
  • Aug. 12: Offering second dose of the Pfizer vaccine between 4 – 7 p.m.
  • Sept. 18: Offering first dose of the Pfizer vaccine between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Oct. 9: Offering second dose of the Pfizer vaccine between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

“Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Anthem Blue Cross has been committed to working with our community partners, healthcare providers, and all Californians to overcome barriers so they can access the resources and support needed to improve health and lives,” Les Ybarra, president of Anthem Blue Cross’ Medi-Cal health plan, said. “We are pleased for the opportunity to work with the Boys & Girls Clubs and with Ralphs to present solutions that help people make it through this crisis and build a better future.”

The Sept. 18 vaccination clinic will take place alongside the Boys & Girls Club’s Day for Kids block party. There will be food, games, family-friendly activities, music, giveaways, information booths, and more. This block party will offer the opportunity to come together as a family to celebrate youth and the Redlands-Riverside community, while getting access to vaccines that can help keep families healthy during the new school year and ahead of the fall flu season.

“Our goal is to support the local community in safely getting vaccinated,” said Dr. Linh Lee, director of pharmacy for Ralphs. “We are fortunate to team up with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside and Anthem Blue Cross on this initiative to further California’s, as well as the White House’s, goal of reaching herd immunity to keep the public safe and healthy.”

Both adults and youth who access vaccines during these clinics will be eligible to receive $50 gift cards. Adults who receive their first dose of the vaccine during one of the clinics will receive a $50 Ralphs/Food 4 Less gift card. Youth ages 12 – 18, who complete their second dose of the vaccine during one of the clinics, will receive a $50 Target gift card.

Vaccinations will be open to the public and available at no cost. Insurance coverage is not required, but insurance information is being requested if available. For a more positive experience and to ensure enough vaccines are available for all, appointments are recommended, but walk-ins will also be served while supplies last. Appointments can be scheduled on the Ralphs website. —Joy
