At Tokyo Sushi, there’s something for everyone.
From rolls to tempura to teriyaki, the menu is vast and diverse. Currently only open for to go orders, Tokyo Sushi ensures that each item is packed carefully to avoid spillage in the car — something we can all appreciate amid the pandemic.
For a recent dinner, I ordered the 4th of July roll (shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, tuna, and ono, torched on the top) and the Double Double roll (spicy tuna on top of a California roll with crunch and special sauce). Both rolls tasted fresh and were not drenched with sauce — just enough to enhance the flavor of the main ingredients. They also had ample amounts of fish, and weren’t heavy on the rice. The prices were lower than at other sushi restaurants in Redlands, making it an affordable, safe place to go. Tokyo Sushi is at 660 E. Redlands Blvd. —Catherine
