Ariel, Flounder, Sebastian, Prince Eric — they’ll all be on the Redlands Bowl stage next summer.
Redlands Bowl Performing Arts, the presenter of the Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival, announced on Wednesday that Disney’s The Little Mermaid has been selected as the Bowl’s 2020 summer musical. Performances are scheduled for Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, July 26, with a public dress rehearsal on Tuesday, July 21.
“The unforgettable soundtrack and colorful production will be absolutely magical against the backdrop of our beautiful Bowl under Wayne Scott’s creative direction,” Redlands Bowl Performing Arts Executive Director Beverly Noerr said in a statement. “We can’t wait!”
Next year is the 97th season of the Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival, and the full schedule will be revealed soon. Redlands Bowl Performing Arts says it expects 30,000 people to attend the musical performances. Auditions for The Little Mermaid are expected to be held in the first two weeks of April 2020. —Catherine
