Art, for Heaven's Sake!

Art, for Heaven’s Sake! celebrating 40 years

Art, for Heaven’s Sake! has been showcasing the talents of local artists — from painters to glass blowers to photographers — for four decades, and this year’s event will be better than ever.

The annual art show and sale, held on Oct. 18, 19, and 20 at the Redlands United Church of Christ, is celebrating its 40th anniversary, with 80 artists participating. Watercolorist Joseph Stoddard is the 2019 featured artist, and is best known in the community for his 2007 collection Redlands Sketchbook, published to mark the University of Redlands’ centennial.

Items available for purchase from the artists will include acrylics, jewelry, pastels, ceramics, quilts, stained glass, etchings, pottery, and oils. A percentage of all sales will go to the church, which uses the money for its programs that help the community and people in need around the world. Admission is free, and there will be food for sale.
