On Sunday, Oct. 6, the streets of downtown Redlands will be taken over by thousands of people who want to see cancer eliminated.
The annual Believe Walk is a 5k sponsored by Stater Bros. Charities and Inland Women Fighting Cancer, with proceeds going to cancer-fighting organizations in the Inland Empire, including Loma Linda Children’s Hospital Oncology, Redlands Community Hospital, Desert Cancer Foundation, St. Bernardine Medical Center, and Riverside University Health System.
Registration starts at 6:30 a.m., with the event kicking off at 8 a.m. Participants will walk from the corner of State St. and Orange St. to the Redlands Bowl, where more than 50 vendors will be on hand to pass out treats and free items.
The Believe Walk is a family-friendly event, with dogs welcome and everyone encouraged to make their own special t-shirts and costumes. Online registration is open through Oct. 2 at noon, or until 10,000 people sign up. Adults 13 and up are $35, children four to 12 are $10, and kids three and under are free. There is a $15 additional fee for late registration.
