The building under construction next to the Nike Factory Store in the Mountain Grove shopping center will be an Aldi.
Aldi is a discount supermarket chain, with more than 10,000 locations in 20 countries. The closest stores now to Redlands are in Yucaipa, San Bernardino, and Moreno Valley.
A sign in front of the construction site is a public notice of application to sell alcoholic beverages, which shows Aldi wants to sell beer and wine. The construction is in its very early stages, and no store opening date has been announced. —Catherine
