Family Service Association of Redlands will hold its annual Redlands Hunger Walk June 1 on the University of Redlands campus to raise funds for the organization’s meals program and food pantry.
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. with a pancake breakfast served by the Redlands Noon Kiwanis Club, followed at 8 a.m. by the 5K walk, which starts and ends at the university’s Memorial Chapel.
Registration for the Redlands Hunger Walk is $30 for adults and $7 for children age 12 and younger, available at redlandsfamilyservice.org. Individuals may register the day of the event, but teams must register in advance. Pre-registration deadline is May 23. Those who register in advance will receive a commemorative T-shirt. Dogs, bicycles, and skateboards are not allowed.
Family Service Association reports serving more than 13,000 meals to people in need last year, helping about 300 families with a one-week supply of food.
