Taste of Vintage Redlands raises scholarship funds for students

The Taste of Vintage Redlands is a way to explore downtown Redlands, while sampling the best of local cuisine.

Participants stop at different locations in the State Street area to enjoy a pairing of food with wine or craft beer. The proceeds from this fun — and delicious — event go to the Citrograph Scholarship Fund, which helps local students interested in pursuing careers in music, business, or graphic design. The 2019 Taste of Vintage Redlands is set for Saturday, March 23, at 1 p.m.

“Now in its 17th year,  The Taste of Vintage Redlands continues to be an exciting event that brings together our community, showcases our local proprietors and raises money for the important purpose of providing much-needed scholarships to our local students,” Citrograph Foundation co-founder Al Hernandez said in a statement. “Each year, we put a twist on The Taste — this year The Taste will be a Saturday afternoon affair for all to enjoy.”

Guests can expect to indulge in food from The Gourmet Pizza Shoppe; Cheesewalla; Oscar’s; Parliament Chocolate; Ryan Berk; Darby’s; Lot 22 Olive Co.; La Volata; and Redlands Oyster Cult. Vintners and brewers will include Ritual Brewing; Langas Cellars; Little Black Glass; Ascension Cellars; Wiens Cellars; Escape Brewery; State Street Winery; Hangar 24; Wildwood Oak Vineyards; and Hazelfern Winery.

This year’s hosts are Cabinet Factories Outlet; A Shop Called Quest; Ozel Jewelers; Principle Body Care; The Orange Space; JD Myers; Redlands Jewelers; Frugal Frigate; State Street Dental; Parliament Chocolate; and Lot 22 Olive Oil Co.
