Grab your lederhosen and get ready for a beer-filled day in the park.
The 8th annual Redlands Optimist Club Oktoberfest is set for Saturday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Sylvan Park. Sponsored by Anheuser-Busch, there will be a wide variety of beers, including Spaten, straight from Munich, and local craft brews, in addition to delicious German delicacies.
It’s a kid-friendly event, with games and bounce houses, and adults can get in on the activities too, with costume, yodeling, and stein holding contests. For those who want to show off their strength, there will be a Hammerschlagen nail driving competition, and the sounds of polka will fill the air, courtesy of a live German band.
