After more than 35 years, Oscar’s Mexican Restaurant is closing its doors on 5th Street — only to reopen a few blocks away on Citrus.
Oscar’s Mexican Restaurant is owned by the Cisneros family, and known for its delicious fare like crab enchiladas, chicken fajitas, and potato flautas. The restaurant announced earlier this year that it is moving from its current location, 19 N. 5th St., to 256 E. Citrus Ave., where Brisket’s used to be.
A representative of the restaurant said on Friday they are expecting to close the 5th Street location by the end of August, so if you want to enjoy one last classic margarita or burrito in the old site, move fast.
