Ice cream from a la minute.

The Redlands Ice Cream Guide

Sick of the heat? So are we. Unfortunately, sweater weather is merely a speck on the horizon.

You can cool down with a creamy treat at one of Redlands’ many ice cream shops, from the unique à la minute to more familiar locations like Baskin-Robbins and Cold Stone Creamery. These cold spots are sure to give your taste buds a chill.

à la minute

A downtown staple, à la minute is one of those places any Redlands local will demand you visit. A little hole in the wall with standing room only, à la minute sources fresh local ingredients from surrounding communities to craft their ice cream. The coolest part—literally—is that they use liquid nitrogen to rapidly freeze their ice cream. This process minimizes the size of the ice crystals, resulting in much creamier ice cream. à la minute is open Monday through Thursday from noon to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon to 11 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 9:30 p.m.
