Be the Redlands Bowl’s guest at Disney’s Beauty and the Beast

You’ve seen the movie, now watch the musical onstage, under the stars.

The Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival presents Disney’s Beauty and the Beast July 26-29, with the dress rehearsal Tuesday, July 24. All performances start at 8 p.m., with first-come, first-served seating. As with every Bowl performance, there is no admission charge, just goodwill offerings, and no tickets.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast was a Broadway sensation, and features songs from the animated classic by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, as well as new songs just for the stage by Menken and Tim Rice. Wayne Scott, president and founder of LifeHouse Theater in Redlands, will direct.

“It was a joyous experience to help present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at Redlands Bowl in 2006,” Scott said in a statement. “Now, with new technical advances and an amazing array of local talent, we have an opportunity to revisit this timeless classic and present a castle full of magical surprises.”

The case includes: Jason Livesay as Beast; Autumn Manson as Belle; Jimmy Saiz as Gaston; John Griffith as Lefou; Duane Crother as Maurice; Devon Hunt as Lumiere; Jonathan Bushey as Cogsworth; Kimberly Cofer as Mrs. Potts; and Lydia Petlick as Chip. —Catherine
