Just 11 choirs from around the world have been invited to attend Podium, the distinguished biannual choral conference and festival in Canada, and only one of those choirs is from the United States: The University of Redlands’ Chapel Singers.
“Podium on the Edge: Singing from Sea to Sea to Sea” ran through July 3 in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Dr. Nicholle Andrews, director of choral studies at the U of R, said it was “an incredible opportunity for the Chapel Singers,” who in addition to performing at the festival, were invited to sing the service of Compline at a cathedral and sing for Canadian soprano Eleanor McCain.
