After years of planning, the Redlands Skatepark will soon be a reality.
On Monday, July 9, at 5:30 p.m., the city of Redlands will break ground on the Redlands Skatepark in the southern section of Sylvan Park. The 15,000-square-foot park is expected to be completed in January 2019.
In April, the Redlands City Council awarded a contract for up to $1,029,151 to Three Peaks Corp. for the park’s construction. Several organizations, including the Friends of Redlands Skatepark and SK8 Park, raised thousands of dollars for the park.
Sylvan Park is at 601 N. University St.
